On the farm

Themed Weekends – The themed weekends are special weekends put together on request for groups of guests.  Point Farm is an exceptional place to stay and some guests like to book all the rooms for special occasions, such as anniversaries or birthdays or families and friends.  Others may book a weekend that coincides with special events in Rye such as Bonfire weekend or the Scallop festival, see Rye’s event calendar at  www.ryesussex.co.uk.  The objective of the themed weekends is to customize your stay for you and your guests utilizing all the facilities uniquely.  Evening meals of your choice or themed meals by Karen can be prepared and served casually in the dinning room or served on a dinner party model.

These weekends are unique to yourselves, just speak to Karen to make the arrangements and choices and we will do the rest.  It is essential that all rooms are booked or these weekends giving your party complete freedom without disturbing other guests.

We are currently working towards refurbishing the swimming pool and aim to provide a sauna and hot tub in the very near future and therefore open up Point Farm to include a small retreat where pampering can begin.  We will offer in house beauty treatments and massages from a qualified person to meet your requirements.  These would need to be booked in advance.

Beside the Farmhouse – we experience the wonderful season of lambing.

Lambing – Point Farm is a working sheep farm and livery averaging 500 ewes annually.  A large percentage of these bare twins (from March to end April) giving us up to 1000 head by the end of the season.  Many lambs and their mothers are brought into the farm to the lambing shed for monitoring before being left to roam free.  It is a fact of life that lambing seasons bring the occasional orphan that needs hand rearing before a new mum can be found.  You may well experience them should you stay here during lambing.

The lambing shed is ‘out of bounds’ but you are welcome to visit it by prior arrangement, there is good reason for this and can be explained in more detail should you be interested.  It is a wonderful experience for young children to see the newborn lambs bit it in the shed or just around in the fields.

In Front of the Farmhouse – you can enjoy the wildlife on the lake, sit and relax or walk around or even do a bit of fishing.

To the left the wonderful views of the marshes and to the right the typical farm machinery and trees.

Lake – we have our own lake – please see facilities.
